A fallen tree has been cleared after blocking a road in Kidderminster this morning. 

The tree fell on Old Chester Road in Hoobrook and landed on a few cars that were parked in the street. 

Worcestershire County Council sent a team to cut up the tree and confirmed that it had been cleared shortly before 12.30pm today (Wednesday, May 22).  

The tree is believed to have damaged some of the cars parked nearby with residents taking to social media to warn people about the incident. 

A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council said: "The County Council can confirm that the tree has now been cleared."

There is a yellow weather warning in place for Kidderminster today (May 22) and tomorrow (Thursday, May 23). 

The Met Office has said residents should expect heavy rain and wind with the possibility of flooding in some areas.
