A store in Kidderminster has reopened after a break-in during the early hours.

The Co-op announced on social media that it had reopened this afternoon (Thursday, May 23) after police cordoned off the entrance earlier today.

West Mercia Police said they were called at around 2.50am following reports of a burglary happening at the store on Franche Road.

The shop was forced to close whilst police continued their investigation.

Officers have now launched an appeal for information and said the offenders arrived and left in a dark-coloured saloon vehicle.

West Mercia Police are asking people to come forward with any CCTV or video doorbell footage that might help with the investigation.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers are looking to see if there is any CCTV/video doorbell footage that may have captured anything that may assist in the investigation.

"If you live nearby, if possible, can you check any footage from 2am until 3am.
