A discount retailer has officially opened its 750th store after relocating to Weavers Wharf.
The B&M team in Kidderminster were "delighted" to open the doors to the new store on Thursday (May 30) at 8am as they posed for photos outside the new branch.
The store has relocated from the Swan Centre and can now be found at Slingfield Mill.
The site was the former home of Debenhams until it closed for good back in 2020.
B&M Retail’s CEO Alex Russo said: "We are delighted to open our 750th store and welcome our new customers in Kidderminster.
"As Kidderminster joins the B&M estate, we remain committed to offering top-quality products at everyday low prices in our stores across the UK.
"Today is a momentous occasion, and all our colleagues at B&M can take pride in reaching this milestone. Their dedication and hard work have made this achievement possible, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts and hard work."
The new store occupies a sales space of 24,507 sq ft offering customers an even bigger selection of products to shop from discount groceries and toiletries to toys, homeware, DIY and more.
To celebrate the opening of the new store, the team chose Kidderminster Foodbank to cut the ribbon and officially welcome customers inside for the first time.
The charity is a Trussell Trust Foodbank which provides a crucial lifeline to those suffering from crisis in the Kidderminster area.
The Kidderminster Foodbank team will also receive £500 worth of B&M vouchers to go towards the charity.
The store manager, said: "It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors; the feedback so far has been fantastic.
"A big thank you to the team at the Kidderminster Foodbank who helped us open the store. We hope that our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do."
A spokesperson for B&M confirmed that the Spennells store is remaining open alongside the shop on Weavers Wharf.
