SEVERAL upcoming road closures are planned in the Wyre Forest area over the next month.
Here are the latest temporary road closure updates, with alternative routes, listed in the Shuttle by Worcestershire County Council:
A456 Park Butts Ringway, Kidderminster
Proposed Order: To close that part of A456 Park Butts Ringway from its junction with A442 Proud Cross Ringway to its junction with Lower Mill Street.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: A456 St Marys Ringway, A451 The Ringway, A451 Stourport Road, A4535 Sutton Road, A456 Bewdley Road and vice versa.
Anticipated duration: 2 nights (19:00-06:00) between June 24 2024 and July 8 2024.
Shenstone Lane, Shenstone
Proposed Order: To close that part of Shenstone Lane from its junction with A450 Worcester Road to its junction with Back Lane.
Reason: BT pole replacement by HSC Worcester Ltd.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: A450 Worcester Road, Back Lane, Shenstone Lane (part) and vice versa.
Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 20 June 2024.
Back Lane, Shenstone
Proposed Order: To close that part of C2187 Back Lane from its junction with Witch Lane to its junction with Shenstone Village Road.
Reason: BT pole replacement by HSC Worcester Ltd.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: Back Lane (part), Shenstone Lane, A450 Worcester Road and vice versa.
Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 20 June 2024.
Richmond Road, Bewdley
Proposed Order: To close that part of Richmond Road from its junction with The Lakes Road to its junction with Welch Gate.
Reason: Carriageway Resurfacing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: The Lakes Road, Cleobury Road, Winbrook,Welch Gate and vice versa.
Anticipated duration: 2 days only between 24 June to 8 July 2024.
Gipsy Lane, Wolverley
Proposed Order: To close that part of Gipsy Lane from its junction with Solcum Lane to its junction with Kinver Road.
Reason: Carriageway patching by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: Blakeshall Lane, Wolverley Village, Wolverley Road, Wolverhampton Road, Castle Road, Bridge Road, Kinver Road and vice versa.
Anticipated duration: 2 days between 25 June 2024 and 8 July 2024.
A449 Worcester Road, Hartlebury
Proposed Order: To close that part of A449 Worcester Road from its junction with Summerfield Lane for a distance of 350 metres in a southerly direction.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: Diversion Southbound: A449 Worcester Road (Southbound), A4025 Stourport Road, A4025 Worcester Road, A451 Mitton Street, A451 Vale Road, A451 Minster Road, A451 Stourport Road, A4420 Silverwoods Way, A442 Worcester Road, A449 Worcester Road. Diversion Northbound: A449 Worcester Road (Northbound), A442 Worcester Road, A4420 Silverwoods Way, A451 Stourport Road, A451 Minster Road, A451 Vale Road, A451 Gilgal, A4025 Worcester Road, A4025 Stourport Road, A449 Worcester Road. Diversion for A442: A442 Droitwich Road, A450 Worcester Road, A448 Bromsgrove Road, A448 Stone Hill, A448 Comberton Road, A449 Chester Road South, A449 Worcester Road and vice versa.
Anticipated duration: 2 nights (21:00-06:00) between 25 June 2024 and 8 July 2024.
Hop Pole Lane, Bewdley
Order made: To close that part of Hop Pole Lane from its junction with Tanners Hill to its junction with Dry Mill Lane.
Reason: Repair to electricity cable by Western Power Distribution.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected
where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: Dry Mill Lane, The Lakes Road, Cleobury Road, Hop Pole Lane and vice versa.
Anticipated duration: 5 days (24hrs). Commencing: May 30 2024
