Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision involving a van and a motorbike on the A456 Bewdley Bypass. 

West Mercia Police said they were called at around 5.45pm yesterday (Sunday, June 2) after a white Mercedes Vito van and a green Kawasaki Ninja motorbike collided. 

The rider of the motorcycle, a 47-year-old man, sadly died at the scene.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed, or have dash-cam footage, of either the collision itself or the vehicles in the minutes beforehand.
