A Kidderminster woman who pleaded guilty to online monkey cruelty offences has had her sentencing date pushed back.
Holly LeGresley, aged 37, of Baldwin Road, Kidderminster, was due to appear at Worcester Crown Court today (Friday, June 7) after admitting to separate charges of publishing obscene articles of monkeys being tortured.
The content included 22 images and 132 videos that were uploaded to online chat groups.
The 37-year-old was charged following an investigation by the BBC into the torture of monkeys overseas.
LeGresley is on bail and is now set to appear in court next Tuesday (June 11).
A second defendant, Adriana Orme, 55, of The Beeches, Ryall, near Upton-upon Severn, also Worcestershire, is also due to appear in court on the same day to face a similar charge.
Orme is alleged to have published an obscene article by uploading one image and 26 videos of monkey torture between April 14 and the June 16 2022, and to have encouraged or assisted the commission of unnecessary suffering by making a £10 payment to a PayPal account on April 26 2022.
