A MILLION-pound golf and country club best known for its scenic location is for sale.

Sapey Golf and Country Club in Upper Sapey, which is a stone's throw away from Worcester, is being advertised for sale by estate agents Savills.

The club, which was established in 1990, is located on an impressive 108 acres of former agricultural land and can be bought as a whole or as two separate businesses.

Lot one comprises an 18-hole golf course and clubhouse, which spans approximately 8,797 sqft and is marketed for a guide price of £1.25 million.

Then, buyers could also purchase a nine-hole golf course and four holiday lodges, with a guide price of £550,000.

The site's 18-hole golf course sits on an expansive 86 acres, whereas the smaller nine-hole one spends 22 acres.

Savills is selling the property on behalf of Best Holdings (UK) Limited.

The current owners bought the clubhouse in July 2017, and it can also provide a space for weddings and events.

In a recent two-storey extension, the club has significantly enlarged its professional golf shop with a golf simulator studio, added a versatile new meeting room, and extended the balcony, offering views over the golf course.

Kay Griffiths, director of leisure and trading at Savills, comments: "Sapey Golf and Country Club offers a well-presented property and business in a spectacular location, making it an attractive asset for potential buyers.

"The current owners have invested heavily in the facility, creating a multipurpose venue, and there is further potential to enhance the function business with the recent addition of the wedding licence and to develop additional lodges, subject to obtaining planning permission.”

Sapey Golf and Country Club is located amidst the undulating hills of Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
