A town constable has been recognised for his 25 years of loyal service to Bewdley during a special celebration. 

Civic dignitaries from Worcestershire County Council, Stourport, Kidderminster and Wyre Forest District Council came together earlier this week to honour Chris Hart. 

The town constable has loyally served Bewdley for 25 years and has attended many civic events as well as represented groups and organisations from across the town. 

The celebration event took place on Monday, June 10 with past mayors, friends and family also coming along to say thank you to Mr Hart for his work.

The mayor of Bewdley also presented him with a 25-year pendant to mark the occasion. 

A spokesperson for Bewdley Town Council said: "At the Bewdley Town Council Meeting on June 10, town constable Chris Hart was recognised for his voluntary long service to the town of Bewdley.

"Spanning 25 years Chris has loyally served the town at many civic events, he represents many groups and organisations within Bewdley, and the Mayor thanked Chris for his years of service."
