A shop in Kidderminster was forced to close for a day this week due to unforeseen circumstances.
Residents in Kidderminster took to social media to share their disappointment after finding Dunelm in Oxford Street was closed yesterday (Thursday, June 13).
The reason for the closure has been given as "technical difficulties" with many speculating online that the store had lost power.
A post on Dunelm Kidderminster Community Support said: "Due to a technical issue the store won't be open at 9am.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please check the page for further updates."
There was another update shortly before 2pm that confirmed the store would remain closed for the rest of the day.
Some staff members also apologised to customers on Facebook for the inconvenience but revealed that the store is back open today (Friday, June 14)
The full details have not been disclosed but Dunelm has been contacted for a comment.
