Armed police swarmed a street in Kidderminster yesterday following reports of someone with a knife.
West Mercia Police have confirmed that officers were called to Stoney Lane at around 5.15pm yesterday (Thursday, June 20) to a report of someone in the possession of what was believed to be a knife.
Eyewitnesses at the scene said police were seen at the small roundabout and cars were at a standstill as officers dealt with the incident.
There was a heavy police presence that remained in the area but officers have confirmed that nobody was injured.
Enquiries are still ongoing into the incident.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers were called to the Springfield Park area of Kidderminster at around 5.15pm yesterday (Thursday, June 20) to a report of someone in the possession of what was believed to be a knife.
"No one was injured. Enquiries are ongoing into the incident."
