Youngsters from across Worcestershire delighted audiences at the weekend with a performance of a popular play.
In partnership with Bewdley Museum, a cast of 12 children from Wyre Forest Theatre Academy performed A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Hollie Christian Brookes, to a large audience made up of family and friends.
The theatre group teaches more than 350 children each week with the cast made up of pupils from local schools including Bromsgrove Prep, Holy Trinity, Bewdley High School, Wolverley High, Heathfield, Hagley RC, Wolverley Seabright, Chaddesley Corbett Primary and more.
A spokesperson for Wyre Forest Theatre Academy said: "The audience laughed with delight at our hilarious Puck played by Luke Morgan and Bottom played by Harry Watts.
"The children, some as young as 10, not only understood the complex plot and Shakespearian language but brought the story to life and acted with sincerity and great humour."
Wyre Forest Theatre Academy offers performing arts tuition to children and adults of all ages.
The theatre school, which was created in 2019, specialises in teaching LAMDA Speech and Drama with the main aim of helping children, teens and adults build confidence, skills and creativity.
The school principal Natalie Pritchard said she is proud of how the theatre academy has grown and is delighted with how the youth theatre is developing.
The drama school hopes to make the outdoor Shakespeare play an annual event but is currently set to hold auditions for its panto.
