RESIDENTS have shared their anger after public toilets at a park were vandalised and forced to close.

Wyre Forest District Council announced that toilets at Brinton Park are closed due to vandalism on Monday (July 8).

Work is currently ongoing to fix the toilets.

In a post on Facebook, Wyre Forest District Council said: "We are sorry to inform you that our public toilets at Brinton Park, Kidderminster, are currently closed due to vandalism. We are working hard to fix the issues and will let you know when they reopen.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your understanding".

Reacting to the vandalism, Kidderminster town councillor John Beckingham said: "It's such a shame when public utilities are vandalised.

"That's money that could be better spent, and councils across the country are really struggling for money at the moment. They could do without the additional cost fixing pointless vandalism".

Catherine Bratton added: "What an absolute shame, this is why we can't have nice things".
