A site manager that oversees a development in Kidderminster has been recognised as one of the best in his industry.

Matthew Williams, who is responsible for managing Cameron Homes’ Sutton Park Grange development, was distinguished among the top site managers in the UK as part of this year's NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards.

The awards, which ran for 18 months, assessed thousands of candidates before drawing 449 from over 8,000 sites across the nation.

Thanks to the award, Mr Williams now stands out in the top five per cent of site managers across the country.

This honour comes as the Midlands-based homebuilder not only marks 30 years of constructing homes, but also maintaining its five-star homebuilder rating awarded by the Home Builders Federation (HBF).

Mr Williams said: "Receiving an NHBC Pride in the Job Award is a huge accomplishment.

"It's something I've been striving for and wouldn't have been possible without the incredible team that work alongside me to ensure every home we build meets the Cameron quality standard.

"This award is a true recognition of the team’s dedication to safe sites and quality-built homes."

The housebuilder's operations director, Paul Morrissey, said: "We are thrilled to congratulate Matthew on his NHBC Pride in the Job win.

"This award showcases our commitment to building exceptional-quality homes.

"Having outstanding site managers, like Matthew, is essential for the success of each development and our continued growth as we step into our 30th year."

Mr Williams and other winners of the Pride in the Job Quality Award will vye for Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards in the autumn, with the National Supreme Award winners then due to be announced in January 2025.
