Three Kidderminster and Stourport opticians have launched new plans to raise money for a charity supporting blind and partially sighted people.

The Specsavers sister stores in The Swan Centre and Sainsbury’s in Kidderminster, and on the High Street in Stourport, will donate £1 to The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) for every customer feedback survey completed until the end of July.

Customers visiting the stores receive an email following their visit and are encouraged to complete a feedback form.

This helps the stores to improve their services and raises funds for the RNIB.

Since the scheme started two weeks ago, the stores have already raised more than £150 in donations.

The RNIB, the UK’s leading sight loss charity, offers both practical and emotional support to blind and partially sighted people, their families and carers.

Store director at all three stores, Emma Singh said: "We are always looking to our valued customers for feedback that highlights exceptional service as well as helping us to make improvements so that we can continue to provide the best care we possibly can."

Emma added: "We are committed to changing lives through better sight and making expert care accessible and affordable to all, so we are pleased to be able to donate funds to the RNIB.

"We’d like to encourage as many people as possible to visit any of our three stores and leave us some feedback and help a good cause at the same time."
