Two-way traffic lights are set to be in place near a school in Kidderminster next week.
According to the Worcestershire County Council website, two-way traffic lights will be in place on St John's Avenue near Baxter College on Monday, July 22.
The traffic measures are being used to help facilitate utility asset work being carried out by Cadent Gas.
This includes replacing the old pipes on the road with new plastic ones.
A description of the work said: "At Cadent, we look after the gas pipes in your area. We make sure the pipes that bring the gas to your home keep you safe, warm and connected.
"We’re replacing the old pipes with new plastic ones which will mean that
you’ll be ready for greener gas in the future.
"We’ll have to turn off your gas supply during some of our work and may
need access to your home, but our teams on-site will be on hand to let you
know more information."
Delays will be possible throughout the duration of the work with a valid permit in place until September although it is unclear how long the work will take.
Drivers should plan ahead of journeys and seek an alternative route where possible.
