A family fun day event in Kidderminster has been hailed a "massive success".

Around 1,500 people gathered at Kidderminster Carolians RFC last weekend as Eat Street Repeat hosted the Big Family Fun Day.

The free entry event took place on Saturday, July 20 and saw live music acts take to the stage.

This included Stourport's James Baker and Worcester's Mike Skilbeck who entertained the crowds.

Andrew Healey also performed a magic show and there was face painting for the children so there was something for the whole family to enjoy.

A spokesperson for Eat Street Repeat said: "The event was a massive success. We think we attracted around 1,500 people and it kept getting busier until the rain.

"James Baker did a great set just before the rain followed by Mike Skilbeck who continued to entertain the crowd in the rain.

"Traders had a great lunchtime and fed many of the attendees.

"It was great to have a plethora of local traders and many coming back to where it all began including Becca Cake House and The Watson Kitchen who did their firest pop-ups with us back in 2021.

"They have gone on to win awards which is great and rewarding for us at Eat Street Repeat to see them grow on their journey."

As well as live entertainment, visitors were also treated to award-winning street food from Eat Street Repeat.

Vendors included Black Sheep Grill, The Scran Man, Boxx N Bar, BMK, Hottodoggu, The Crafty Greek, Stuffed Any Way You Like, Pablo's Burgers, Becca's Cake House and The Watson Kitchen.

Inflatables were provided by Quads 'N' Castles and there was a classic car display from ARC Events.

Entrance for the cars was a donation to KEMP Hospice.

The rugby club ran the bars throughout the day.

The next event will be at Hartlebury Castle on Saturday, August 3.
