Police have issued an update on the investigation into the tragic death of a "bubbly and caring" 21-year-old woman.

Grace Gardner was found dead at a home on Wassell Drive in Bewdley at around 5.10pm on April 23 with West Mercia Police launching a murder investigation.

Two women and a man were arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed after her body was discovered.

The investigation is still ongoing, but in an update today (Wednesday, July 24), West Mercia Police have confirmed that the man who was arrested remains on bail.

The two women who were arrested have been released with no further action to be taken.

Grace has been described by her family and friends as "beautiful" and "irreplaceable".

In a statement earlier this year, her heartbroken family said: “Grace was our beautiful, treasured, and irreplaceable daughter, sister, auntie and friend.

"Grace had so much to look forward to in her young life, cut so unexpectantly short.

“We are completely devastated. Our family and friends are heartbroken at the tragic loss of Grace."

“You were very loved and going to be missed every day for eternity. Fly high our beautiful, amazing Grace."

A GoFundMe was also set up by Grace's great aunt Dee Ambler and her daughter Carla Sendell which raised almost £4,000 to help support the family.

More than £3,000 of the donations were generated by The Port House, a pub where Grace previously worked, after the team hosted a fundraising night in her memory.

Ms Sendell said: "As a family, we are all distraught by the passing of Grace. Grace was such a bubbly, loving and caring young woman who absolutely adored children and she had a heart of gold.

"Grace had her whole life ahead of her and will truly be missed by so many people. Sleep tight Grace we all love and miss you."
