A NEW 'Home Bargains-style' discount store has now opened its doors in Kidderminster town centre.
Bargain Zone, on Vicar Street, offers a range of goods from toys and DIY supplies, from pet products to household essentials.
Business owner Zak Sharif says he decided to open a new shop in the town due to the success of his store Pound Bazaar in nearby Stourbridge.
Mr Sharif also runs discount stores in Dudley, Kings Heath, Northfield and Cannock.
He said that the new Kidderminster store, which he has likened to Home Bargains, was busy on its opening day on Thursday (August 1).
Kidderminster BID leader James Barker said it's "fantastic" to see another new business opening in the town.
He said: "It's got an offering for everyone. You could go there and do your entire shop.
"It's fantastic to see the eighth business unit taken this year in Kidderminster
"Kidderminster has bucked the national trend. Most of the towns in the UK were seeing businesses closing. Actually in Kidderminster we are seeing the reverse".
