Hundreds of people gathered over the weekend to enjoy a free entry street food event at Hartlebury Castle.

The event, which was organised by Eat Street Repeat, has been described as "amazing" with visitors being treated to live music and award-winning street food.

It was part of Hartlebury Castle's Scarecrow Weekend on Saturday (August 3) and saw live performances from the Got 2 Sing Choir, Rosie Kirby, The Blackbirds and headliners The Follicles.

There were also bouncy castles and entertainment for the children.

A spokesperson for Eat Street Repeat said: "What a day and what a turn out. We would like to thank the castle and locals for their support at this event.

"We had an amazing day and lots of sunshine. The music all day was on point starting with the Got 2 Sing Choir who must have been 60-strong and sang beautifully as always, Rosie Kirby and The Blackbirds before The Follicles finished the day with an amazing set.

"The food was appreciated by all with our international selection. A couple of traders were selling out towards the end of the day which is fantastic for them.

"We would like to give a special mention to Hartlebury Brewing Company and Booton Bros Cider who joined us for their first event and did fantastic.

"It's great for ESR to help support local."

The street food vendors for the event included The Black Sheep Grill, Stuffed Anyway You Like, Big Dogz Tacos, Koolkata Streetfood, Fuso Pizza, Streatery, Chappers Cheesecakes and Golden Glaze Donuts.

Streatery Smash Burgers from Stourbridge and Fuso Pizza from Bromsgrove also did their very first events with ESR saying that the feedback from residents was "extremely positive".

Eat Street Repeat added: "The comments by visitors were extremely positive and they were suitably impressed with how it was organised, the beautiful setting, our ethos of supporting new and local and importantly it was free entry.

"We hope to return very soon."
