A pet fitness and rehabilitation centre in Bromsgrove is set to close next week.

Clent Hills Vets Bromsgrove announced that Clent Hills Pet Fitness and Rehab will close its doors on Wednesday (August 14).

The team said it had been a privilege to meet and help so many dogs and cats over the last six years and they thanked clients for their support.

In a post on Facebook, Clent Hills Pet Fitness and Rehab said: "We are beyond sad to say that our rehab centre will be closing on August 14. We have been privileged to meet and help so many of your dogs and cats over the last 6 years.

"We want to thank past and present clients, human and canine, for your support. We do this job because we care and because we love supporting you and your animals through tough times and the good too.

"Our doors may be closing but the memories will stay forever."

Clent Hills Vets said the closure of the rehabilitation centre will not affect the veterinary practice which will continue operating as normal and will remain open.

Anyone who has any questions before the closure is being advised to get in touch with the vets so they can help.

Clent Hills Vets Bromsgrove said: "We are saddened to announce that Clent Hills Pet Fitness and Rehabilitation Centre in Bromsgrove will permanently close on August 14 2024. This does not affect our veterinary practices and they will remain open as normal.

"We want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting the fitness and rehabilitation centre. Should you have any questions before our closure, please do not hesitate to contact us."

The announcement has been met with sadness from the local community who described the closure as a "massive loss" and praised the team for the "care and compassion" shown to every animal they have treated.
