I THINK speed limits are needed.

Take, for instance, the A449 in and out of Kidderminster.

This road is becoming really busy and it is used as a racetrack from 7pm onwards.

We have motorcyclists who come down and speed through like bullets to set off the lit speed sign.

They overtake cars just before the bollards crossing area without a care as to what dangers they cause.

We have lorries at night — heavy loaders that rattle the bed as they speed past from 10pm through the night. They zip down as it’s an empty road.

There needs to be a bypass put in as this isn’t right.

It’s got to a point now that, when it’s hot with windows open, due to the noise I go and sleep in another room in the back as I’m a light sleeper and get disturbed too much by the constant noise.

The parking on this main road, especially during match days, is appalling — often double-parked and fully on pavements with not enough room to walk past.

Add the speeding and it’s a very dangerous situation which highways will not deal with as it costs too much in court time so it’s left and not dealt with.

Speed kills and restrictions or cameras are needed on the road.

Start fining people and listening to residents.
