THE new owners of a village pub are delighted with the "phenomenal" support they have received since taking over.
The White Hart in Hartlebury is now under new management, with businessman Josh Powell and Michelle O'Mahony now running the pub.
The new owners have made some changes to the pub. They've created a large Cotswold Stone seating area at the front of the pub, put in new tables and chairs, and have introduced four new menus.
Mr Powell said he has a "passion" for the village pub, local food and supporting local suppliers.
He said: "We took over on Monday the 12th. We both love the village and want to support the village.
"Michelle was the manager of the pub previously. We used to talk about running the pub someday".
He said he's pleased with the "fantastic" response from customers since the takeover.
One customer on Tripadvisor said: "We have been coming to the White Hart for many years and experienced its various manifestations - up and down.
"Today, under new management, it was a completely different experience. The food was delicious, generous portions, a range of lovely veg to accompany the mains.
"Friendly service and management who realise the importance of good customer service".
The pub will be hosting an open day on Saturday, September 14 to mark the change in management. The event will take place between 1pm and 8pm.
Alex Rainsford and The Blackbirds will be performing at the event, and the pub will be serving is food from its new menus.
They have said that booking is "strongly recommended" if people want to dine at the restaurant during the day.
