A BEWDLEY author is releasing his first book next week.
Nick Evetts has written The Chaos and the Randomness which will be available through Pegasus Publishers on Thursday, August 29.
The father-of-three’s interests include mountain walking, big boat sailing and amateur archaeology.
His first book is in the historical fiction genre and goes back to the year of 1645 in England.
It sees a land torn apart by five years of civil war.
Jacob Sedgewick, a young parliamentary officer, saves the life of a beautiful young woman Mary Honeywell.
She follows him into the south-west accompanied by her godfather, an ageing parson, to discover if her father and brother, who were impressed a year ago into the Royalist armies, still survive.
Jacob’s elder brother Ethan Sedgewick, a broken man, is returning from a war-devastated Europe where he has fought as a mercenary soldier for 10 years, seeking to discover if his younger brother still survives.
Will these people whose lives have been thrown into disarray by war find each other?
The book will be available worldwide from next week via various retailers and more information is available at pegasuspublishers.com/books/nick-evetts/the-chaos-and-the-randomness.
