Weight loss groups from across Kidderminster and Stourport have raised hundreds of pounds for a local SEND nursery.
Slimming World consultant Paula Haywood and her groups took on a huge 5k walk last weekend for Special Steps.
The nursery, which is run by Becky McClean and is based in Stourport, exclusively supports children with Complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
It relies on the generosity of the community to provide the equipment and maintenance of the nursery and is the only service of its kind for children in Worcestershire.
The Slimming World groups, including Foley Park Methodist Church, St George's Church Annexe and the Cornerstone Church in Stourport, managed to raise an incredible £600 for the nursery and said the achievement had brought "tears to our eyes".
Ms Haywood said: "Thank you to all my groups for their support and contributions.
"It meant so much to do the walk especially when Becky opened up and showed us what we had raised the money for including special equipment for the children.
"It brought tears to our eyes just to see the time and effort she puts into making sure the children have the very best day at the nursery.
"It is truly amazing and Becky, along with her team of staff, truly are a blessing."
The group set off from Cornerstone Church at around 10.30am on Sunday (August 18) with Ms McClean saying it meant "so much" to her that they decided to raise funds for the nursery.
The nursery is also set to host a family fun day on Saturday, August 31 at Severn Side Caravan Park.
There will be bouncy castles, hot food and drinks, a sensory toy stall, inflatable slides, face painting, a tombola and more.
Ms Haywood is currently offering free membership for anyone who would like to join her groups which run on Thursday at Foley Park Methodist Church in Kidderminster, on Friday at St George's Church Annexe in Kidderminster and on Saturday at the Cornerstone Church in Stourport.
