A FUNERAL is set to be held for a great-great-grandfather who has been described as a "proud Welshman."
Thomas Jones, aged 91, died at his home at Lower Heath Caravan Park in Stourport on August 7, surrounded by his family.
He was the father of ten children, and had more than 100 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was married to Jackaline Jones, who died in November 2022, for 66 years.
The family said: "We all miss him very much but he's back with granny now who he missed and thought the world of".
The family has thanked Edward, Thomas' son, for how hard he cared for his dad since Jackaline died.
The family said: "Edward was the one Thomas trusted in the most. Thank you Edward for all you did in the end days.
"Reuben would also like to thank his sons for everything they've done organising the funeral and standing by him throughout this hard time losing his dad".
His funeral is set to be held at St James' Church at Hartlebury on Tuesday, August 27, starting at 11am.
Mourners will follow black horses and limousines from the caravan park on Watery Lane to the church.
A burial service will take place at St Mary's Church at Crossway Green following the funeral.
