A WYRE Forest band are looking forward to a free launch gig in Kidderminster this month after the release of their second single.
RetsecroW(s) have been turning heads not just for their heavy, guitar-driven rock sound but for their young line-up.
With members aged just 12 to 15, the Kidderminster-based prodigies are gearing up to release their second single Blood Sea on Friday, September 6.
The track follows debut single Grief Of Me which dropped in March and has already racked up more than 7,000 streams on Spotify.
RetsecroW(s) have a free launch gig at 45 Live, Oxford Street, on Sunday, September 8.
Formed in July 2022, the band consists of Luca Griffin, 12, on vocals and guitar, Ollie Kearns, 15, on lead guitar, George Nicholas, 14, on drums and Alexie Bayliss, 14, on bass.
Their raw talent and relentless gigging have helped them build a loyal following and cement their place in the West Midlands rock scene.
Blood Sea was produced by rock and metal producer Jay Shredder at his SLL Studios in Wyre Forest, a name known for working with heavyweights like Saxon, KK’s Priest and Diamond Head.
Jay said: “Working with retsecroW(s) was an eye-opener. These kids are incredibly gifted beyond their years.
“Their raw energy in the studio was infectious and their musical maturity is something I can’t wait to see evolve.
“Blood Sea is just the beginning for them.”
The single, which has already become a fans’ favourite at their live shows, has been a year in the making and showcases the band’s development both on and off the stage.
Luca, the band’s singer, explained: “This track has grown with us at each gig and we’ve watched it turn into something we’re really proud of.”
The free gig on September 8 will see Load Street Academy doing live music from 3pm with RetsecroW(s) taking to the stage at around 6.30pm.
Blood Sea will be available on all major streaming platforms from September 6.
