RESIDENTS are invited to take ‘A Journey Through Kidderminster’s Town Hall’ at an event highlighting its history.
'Heritage Open Days 2024' runs from September 6 to 15, when heritage buildings open their doors to the public.
Whilst Kidderminster Town Hall itself is closed for redevelopment, members of the public are invited to drop in to Kidderminster Library on Wednesday, September 11, from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
Kidderminster Town Hall wants to hear from people who have memories, souvenirs and photos of their times at the town hall over the years.
The town hall is now recruiting volunteers in a variety of roles including digital media, research and historic silverware cleaning and restoration.
Jackie Murrall, Heritage Volunteer Coordinator said: “It’s a great opportunity to get involved in your local community and to help to celebrate and reveal the history of the building, its people, and the town.”
People can come along to find out more about the progress of the redevelopment of Kidderminster Town Hall and opportunities for how you can get involved.
