A man has died following a medical emergency in Kidderminster yesterday. 

West Mercia Police said they were called to the depot on Green Street at around 3.45pm on Wednesday (August 28) after receiving a report of an unconscious man near the subway. 

A large police presence was spotted in the area near Worcester Road with ambulance crews and the fire service also in attendance. 

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor with a clinical care paramedic to the scene where they found one male patient. 

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, it became clear that nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene. 

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a medical emergency near to the junction of the A451 and The Ringway at 3.32pm.

"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor, with a Clinical Care Paramedic, attended the scene.

"On arrival, we discovered one patient, a man. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of ambulance staff, it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene."

A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Wyre Forest Fire Station was called at 4.50pm on August 28 to assist police at Worcester Road island, Kidderminster.

"Police and ambulance were also in attendance."

Police have confirmed that the man's death is not being treated as suspicious. 

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers were called to the depot on Green Street in Kidderminster at around 3.45pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, August 28) following a report of an unconscious man.

"Sadly, despite best efforts from emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious.
