A historic and rarely-used waterfall in Kidderminster has been given a "vibrant" new lease of life.

Kidderminster Town Council has revealed that repairs to the waterfall at the bottom of Comberton Hill have now been completed.

This includes upgrading the lighting to newer, energy-efficient LED lights that will help provide stunning and colourful displays for the community to enjoy.

The landmark has been part of the town's heritage for many years with the town council thanking the dedicated public realm and operations team for helping to keep the waterfall "shining brighter than ever".

The water feature was switched on for the first time in 35 years as a tribute to those in Wyre Forest who lost their lives to Covid-19 in 2021.

Since then it's been switched on to mark several national and international events, including the anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth II and Holocaust Memorial Day.
