Police have launched an appeal after a child was bitten by a dog in Stourport.
West Mercia Police said the boy was crossing the railway tracks on Wilden Lane when he stopped to allow a man and a dog to cross.
As the dog passed the boy, it bit his leg and the man continued to walk off without checking the welfare of the child.
The incident happened at around 1.30pm on Saturday (August 24) and officers said the boy has now fully recovered from his injuries.
The man with the dog has been described as white, bald with a white beard and in his early 50s.
The breed of the dog has not been confirmed but it has been described as a large breed and black.
Officers investigating the incident would like to speak to anyone who might have seen the man and the dog that afternoon or for anybody to come forward with information that would help with their enquiries.
