A man has been taken to hospital following a hit-and-run near a pub in Bewdley last night.
West Mercia Police said they were called to a collision on Cleobury Road shortly before 10pm yesterday (Thursday, September 5).
The collision involved a pedestrian and a vehicle with officers closing the road outside the Hop Pole Inn.
West Midlands Ambulance Service also sent an ambulance and a BASICS doctor to the scene.
A man, who is in his 50s, sustained potentially serious injuries and was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
The driver fled the scene and remains unknown.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Police were called to a collision on Cleobury Road, Bewdley, shortly before 10pm last night, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
"A man in his fifties sustained slight injuries and was taken to hospital. The driver of the vehicle remains outstanding. The road was closed outside the Hop Pole Inn pub."
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We were called to an incident on Hop Pole Lane at 9.44pm. One ambulance and a BASICS doctor attended the scene.
"On arrival, we discovered one patient, a man, who told ambulance staff he had been involved in a collision with a car. He was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Worcester Royal Hospital."
