OFFICERS from the Environment Agency attended the site of the huge fire which broke out in Kidderminster at the weekend.
They visited the site on Park Lane to check whether any contaminated water from the fire had reached the nearby canal.
Thankfully the result was good news and the canal, which is teeming with wildlife and fish, had not been affected.
The fire broke out at the derelict building on the morning of Saturday (September 7) with huge flames and smoke billowing into the sky.
