A PLAN has been lodged to convert a historic building, previously used a HMO, into brand new flats.
Developers want to change the former 6-bed HMO on Lea Street, near Kidderminster Railway Station, into four-bedroom flats.
The proposed development seeks to carry out internal reconfigurations for the repurposing of an existing building, previously used for residential use, to the single bedroom flats.
As part of the heritage statement, the applicants said: "The property has historically been used for residential purposes and the proposal seeks to provide the building with a new lease of life by continuing this.
"As such it is considered that the proposal is acceptable in line with the relevant policy and guidance".
The existing building is part of a pair and is of late Victorian origin, circa.1900.
A full planning application has been submitted to Wyre Forest District Council.
It can be viewed by searching 24/0524/FUL on the council's planning website.
