FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a Kidderminster park to battle a car blaze on Tuesday evening (September 10).
Footage has been shared online of the incident, where an SUV and trees caught fire at Brinton Park.
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed there were no casualties.
Resident Darren Connolly, who witnessed the fire, said: “I heard some banging sounds coming from outside, thought it was just the workmen starting on the pelican crossing again from the night before.
"But when I looked out the window I could see a car on fire.”
Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Wyre Forest and Bromsgrove Fire Stations – were called just before 8pm to the blaze.
A fire brigade spokesperson said: "An SUV and trees were well alight with the fire fought using two hosereel jets. One firefighter wore breathing apparatus. There were no casualties.
"The incident was marked as pending closure at 21:06".
