POLICE have launched a witness appeal after a woman was bitten by a bulldog-type breed of dog in Hartlebury.
The incident happened whilst the woman was walking between Quarry Bank and Southall Drive in the village on August 7 at around 4.20pm.
The dog owner has been described as a woman, approximately 30 to 40 years old, approximately 5 ft. 7 inches in height, with brown shoulder length hair.
She is described as wearing a black beanie, a black fleece jacket, and black leggings.
The dog was on a leash and is described as being a bulldog type breed, medium to large build, with sandy brown coloured fur.
The fur on the dog's belly is described as a lighter brown. It has a short, dark nose with dark eyes.
In a post on Facebook appealing for witnesses, Wyre Forest Police said: "We would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have seen this incident or has any information, and to get in touch.
"Anyone who has information should contact Police Constable Rob Ebbaston via his email - robert.ebbatson@westmercia.police.uk quoting log number 00382_I_07092024.
"Alternatively, if you don’t want to speak to police, you can report information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111".
