MORE than 100 former students and teachers reminisced and shared jokes as part of a school reunion.
The Sion Hill Middle School reunion was a chance for ex-students and staff to socialise and reconnect at the Cookley Sports and Social Club.
The reunion, which was held on Wednesday (September 11), was for those who attended the Kidderminster school from 1958 to 1975.
More than 100 people turned up for the event, including seven teachers, from all over the country, including from the Isle Of Wight, Brighton and Wales.
The organisers of the event were Martin Baldwin, who was head boy at the school in 1965, and Susan Batten.
Martin Baldwin said there was a "warm" atmosphere to the reunion.
The 75-year-old said: "People did travel quite a distance to get there. Credit to them.
"It's great, you just have fond memories, you reminisce, you pull a few jokes.
"I don't think people change".
Photos of the event were shared on Facebook by ex-student Brian Davies. He said: "Some of the people hadn’t seen their schoolmates or teachers for 50 years".
"A big thank you to organisers Martin Baldwin and Susan Batten for all their hard work.
"Three people travelled from Isle Of Wight , Brighton and Wales.
"Thank you everyone for turning up, a great turnout."
Next year's reunion will be taking place on Wednesday, September 10, once again at Cookley Sports and Social Club .
The site of the former Sion Hill Middle School was purchased by the community Housing Group, with the school being demolished to make way for homes.
