A PLANNING application has been submitted to convert a bed and breakfast into a new house in multiple occupation (HMO).
The application seeks to change the use of Kidderminster's Beulah Villa Bed & Breakfast, on Chester Road North, into a nine-bedroom HMO.
According to the design and access statement, the proposed change of use would see the building become a nine-bedroom HMO property with minor internal refurbishment works to be carried out. The previous bedroom three, would become a communal room with a wall being taken out to open up the room for recreation purposes.
The full planning application was submitted to Wyre Forest District Council earlier this month and is now available to view on the council's planning portal by searching the reference 24/0592/FUL.
The Shuttle previously reported that a planning application was previously lodged to change the Beulah Villa Bed & Breakfast into five residential flats in 2021 - but this was refused.
However, the case officer highlighted that the development was refused because the building was not a suitable size for the number of flats that were proposed.
