A WOMAN was reportedly spat at and punched by another at the B&M store in Kidderminster town centre.
West Mercia Police confirmed they were called to a report of a theft from the Weavers Wharf store earlier this week.
A report was also made to officers that a woman was assaulted by another woman. The victim was injured in the attack.
Officers said that the suspect left the scene following the incident, which reportedly happened on Wednesday afternoon.
Police enquiries into the assault are ongoing.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Police were called to B&M on Weavers Wharf in Kidderminster at around 4pm to reports of a theft from the store.
"It was also reported that a woman was spat at and punched by another woman sustaining slight injuries.
"The suspect left the scene. Enquiries are ongoing".
