Some of the best pubs in Kidderminster and the surrounding villages have been recognised in the Good Beer Guide 2025. 

The guide, which is published annually by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), is the UK's best-selling beer and pub guide and an essential resource for ensuring the future of pubs across the UK.

The publication lists 4,500 of the best pubs across the UK and is the definitive beer drinker’s guide for those seeking the best pints in the nation and is on sale now.

A total of 14 pubs across Wyre Forest have been featured in the guide including seven across Kidderminster and the surrounding villages. 

Here are some of the top pubs in Kidderminster and the surrounding villages for 2025: 

The Anchor Inn, Caunsall

Described as a "friendly village inn", the guide praises the pub for its excellent real ales, traditional cider, popular cobs and pork pies. 

As well as its 1920s furniture and horse racing memorabilia, the pub boasts a large outdoor space which is a "suntrap in the summer". 

It has won multiple CAMRA awards including bronze Pub of the Year in 2022 and silver in 2023. 

The Bear & Wolf

The pub first opened in 2019 and specialises in real ales, ciders and canned craft beers. 

There are six real ales from local and regional breweries. 

The guide describes the pub as "deceptively spacious" with live music on weekends. 

The Chester Tavern

A "modern and spacious community pub" which also serves as an acoustic music venue. . 

The guide mentions the four real ales served at the pub which always includes one from Bewdley and one from Wye Valley breweries. 

The pub is also home to an attractive and popular beer garden. 

Cookley Sports Club & Village Hall

The popular sports club and village hall serve signed-in visitors and card-carrying CAMRA members. 

The beers include those from Wye Valley with the club also serving barbecue-style food at the weekend. 

The King & Castle

Located at the Severn Valley Railway, the King & Castle is a popular choice with visitors to the heritage railway. 

The guide praises the beer on offer from local and regional breweries. 

The pub won CAMRA's gold Pub of the Year award in 2019 and the bronze award in 2020. 

The Swan, Chaddesley Corbett 

The 17th-century pub features a real fire and an "impressive lounge space". 

The pub hosts quiz, jazz and open mic nights as well as offering a play area for the children. 

The guide said Bathams Best Bitter was first brewed for this pub.

The Weavers Real Ale House

Near the railway station, the pub serves eight changing real ales including at least one dark ale. 

The guide describes the bar as being popular with visitors to the railway and those heading into town. 

The pub was a CAMRA National Pub of the Year finalist in 2018.
