AN auto-electrician who recently moved into his "forever home" with his wife is distraught after two of their vehicles were recently set on fire.

Sergio Roncella, aged 52, moved into a new house on Wilden Top Road around 10 weeks ago, after living in Areley Kings.

But within the space of two and a half weeks, his wife's car and his van were targeted in overnight arson attacks.

His wife's Nissan Navara pickup was set on fire in the early hours of September 5 and his white Vauxhall Vivaro van was also set alight in the early hours of September 24.

Mr Roncella said the incidents left him "completely shocked" and that he "wouldn't wish it on his worst enemy".

He said: "The fires were started in exactly the same way".

"We both can't think why this is happening. We have absolutely no idea.

"Neither of us feel we have upset anybody. It's just a complete mystery to us why we are being targeted.

"This was meant to be our forever home now and it's taken all the enjoyment out of making new memories.

"We feel bad for the neighbours as well. The neighbours have tried to be as supportive as they can".

He added: "We are relieved that the police have upped their patrols in the area. We want to thank the police for their support and the fire brigade".

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were called out to both suspected arson incidents to extinguish the fires.

West Mercia Police recently issued an appeal following the recent fire.
