RING doorbell footage has been shared of the shocking moment a car is set on fire in the early hours.

Auto-electrician Sergio Roncella and his wife have had two vehicles targeted in suspected arson attacks within the space of two and a half weeks.

He's shared footage of his wife's Nissan Navara pickup being set alight in the early hours of September 5, with a person appearing to run away from the scene.

Mr Roncella, aged 52, only recently into a house on Wilden Top Road around 10 weeks ago in July, after previously living in Areley Kings.

His white Vauxhall Vivaro van was also set alight in the early hours of September 24.

Mr Roncella said the incidents have left him "completely shocked."

He said: "The fires were started in exactly the same way".

"We both can't think why this is happening. We have absolutely no idea.

"Neither of us feel we have upset anybody. It's just a complete mystery to us why we are being targeted".

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were called out to both incidents.

A spokesperson for the fire brigade said: "A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Wyre Forest Fire Station was called at 00:19 on September 5 to a small vehicle on fire in Wilden Top Road, Stourport-on-Severn.

"A pickup was well alight and extinguished by one firefighter wearing breathing apparatus and using one hosereel.

"Police were requested due to suspected arson".
