A road between Bromsgrove and Kidderminster is set to remain closed following a burst water pipe. 

Whitford Road was closed yesterday (Tuesday, October 8) after a water main burst along the road. 

The emergency closure has been causing travel chaos in the area and has affected the route between Timberhonger Lane and Kidderminster Road.

There were also reports of a collision and a stuck lorry along the route today (Wednesday, October 9).

According to the Worcestershire County Council website, the road is now expected to remain closed until 4pm on Thursday (October 10).

In a post on social media, Traffic Bromsgrove added: "Please if you're driving round country lanes please be extra careful."
