A road in Worcestershire is set to be closed for almost two months for essential gas works.
According to the Worcestershire County Council website, Perryfields Road in Bromsgrove is set to be closed from Monday (October 28).
There is a valid permit in place until Sunday, December 22.
The closure is in place for Cadent Gas to carry out important maintenance work and to install a new main due to the nearby housing development.
The description of the work said: "We're carrying out important maintenance works on our equipment, this activity ensures that we can continue to provide a safe and reliable gas supply to local businesses and residents.
"Gas reinforcement project linked to the new build housing estate on Perryfields. A new main is required due to strain on the network."
Emergency access is set to be maintained at all times and residents will have access to properties fronting the affected highway.
There is a diversion route in place via Mercer Close, Kidderminster Road, St John Street, Market Street, Stourbridge Road, Perryfields Road and vice versa.
