A huge convoy of motorbikes lined the streets last week in tribute to a "kind, generous and loving" father-of-two from Worcestershire.

Daniel Lipscombe, who was a window cleaner and well-loved in the Redditch community, died suddenly aged 37, leaving his wife Amy, sons Harry and Matthew, brother Jason, sister Jennifer and dad Dave devastated.

Friends, family and the wider community came together on Tuesday (October 8) to say a final goodbye to Daniel and to celebrate his life.

Following an appeal from his family, more than 80 motorbikes formed a convoy from The Oast House pub on Paper Mill Lane which followed behind the hearse and cars.

"All you could see down the carriageway was rows and rows of motorbikes. It was a bittersweet moment but it was amazing to see how many people had come to show their support and to pay their respects to Daniel.

"It was particularly important to his wife Amy and their boys Harry and Matthew. It meant a lot to them and you could see the boys looking out at the bikes from the window of the car.

"It helped create some smiles on what was a really difficult day, so we are really grateful to all the bikers who joined the convoy.

"We also want to say a big thank you to Redditch Charity Bikers as they helped marshal on the day to keep everyone safe."

Mr Rodgers described the service, which was led by civil celebrant Jacqui Mason-Dipple, as "beautiful".

The entrance music, 'See You Again' by Wiz Khalifa, was chosen by a friend with 'Memories' by Maroon 5 and 'You Are the Reason' by Callum Scott also heard throughout the service.

There was a moment of reflection for friends and family to remember Daniel whilst listening to 'Dancing in the Sky' by Danni and Lizzy.

The service concluded with "Falling in Love with You' by UB40.

"The love from the community has been overwhelming and the number of bikes that showed up on the day was just incredible. It was more than we could've ever hoped for and a fitting way to say goodbye to Daniel.

"He was a lovely, kind and generous person who was an amazing dad to his two boys. Words can't even describe how much he will be missed by everyone who knew him."
