Thousands of homes were left without power across parts of Bromsgrove last night.
The power outages, which predominately affected the north of the town, were reported by residents at around 10pm yesterday (Tuesday, October 15).
The National Grid said over 7,000 properties were affected at its peak with reports of traffic signals and street lights being out.
Residents were being urged to be cautious when driving and going out and about with many saying the streets were left in "complete darkness".
The postcodes that were affected include B45, B60 and B61 with the National Grid saying the team was "working hard to resolve the fault".
The power outage was caused by a fault on the underground network with power being restored to homes between around 11.30pm yesterday (Tuesday, October 15) and 1.30am today (Wednesday, October 16).
On the website, the National Grid said: "We are sorry for any inconvenience that was caused by the power cut."
