A fuel spillage was affecting a road in Kidderminster earlier today with some fearing drivers could "lose control" of their vehicles.
West Mercia Police confirmed that they were alerted to reports of a spillage on the A456 roundabout near Birmingham Road and Coventry Street this morning (Thursday, October 17).
Drivers had reported a "slippery" substance on the road which had caused some people to lose control of their cars although no serious incidents were reported.
Officers confirmed that they handed the report over to the Worcestershire County Council Highways team who sent highways officers to the scene.
The county council confirmed that it was a fuel spillage and the road has now been cleared.
A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council said: "Highways officers attended following a report received from West Mercia Police and the location has been cleared."
