HUNDREDS of beer enthusiasts will soon gather to enjoy a wide range of speciality brews at an annual festival in Kidderminster.

There will be a choice of 36 cask beers, nine local craft ales, 21 ciders and perries, plus a Sprits Bar, local wines, soft drinks, bottled zero-alcohol options and on-site food catering at the upcoming Kidderminster Beer and Cider Festival.

Wyre Forest Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), the organisers of the festival, are putting the final touches on the volunteers’ rota, the layout of the programme and keeping up with the promotion of the festival through printed material and social media.

Festival Coordinator, Doug Hine said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming back hundreds of visitors to our annual Festival.

“It’s taking place for the second time in the dance hall of Kidderminster Harriers Social and Supporters Club – which offers convenience, comfort and location to suit our event.”

"Our volunteers will make sure that everyone really enjoys the event.  The attendance of around 800 people is about half local people, so the other 400-odd are visitors to Kidderminster and Wyre Forest.”

The popular event will run from Thursday, November 7 to Saturday, November 9.

There will be live music on the Friday evening.  The opening hours on the Thursday are 2pm to 10pm, with a preview from noon for CAMRA members.

On Friday, November 8, the festival will be open from noon to 11pm, and on Saturday from noon until 9pm - or until the beer runs out.

Tickets, which cover all 3 days, are available on the door, or available online (at a discount) via www.wyreforest.camra.org.uk.
