Two Kidderminster care home staff members have raised more than £500 for a hospice by walking a marathon in one day.
Michelle Reaves, senior night carer, and Holli Whitehouse, activities coordinator, of Foley Grange care home, completed a 26.34-mile challenge, raising £520 for Kemp Hospice.
They finished the feat in just over eight hours, all whilechanting "What do we do? We walk!"
They said: "We wanted to raise awareness of the support and services that Kemp Hospice provides.
"The challenge was great fun, and we're so pleased to have built a relationship with this extremely worthy charity."
Michelle Pilgrim, home manager at the care home, said: "The residents and team members in our home are so proud of Michelle and Holli for tackling this huge challenge in aid of Kemp Hospice.
"We'd all like to say a huge well done to these fantastic ladies – you're an inspiration."
The fundraising duo and the residents at the care home will be at the monthly Come Dine With Me event, where over-65s in the community are welcome to join the residents for lunch.
The next Come Dine With Me lunch will take place on Wednesday, November 6.
