THE car park at Hurcott Pools and Wood will be closed for a day to make way for a memorial ceremony where a new plaque will be unveiled.
It's set to be closed from 2pm on Friday (October 25), until 2pm on Saturday (October 26).
A barrier will be put in place and motorists are being asked to make sure vehicles are moved in good time.
The closure is to make way for a memorial ceremony from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service on Saturday October 26, where a new red plaque will be unveiled.
In a post on Facebook, Wyre Forest Rangers said: "The plaque will mark the brave sacrifice of Sub Officer Robert Crampin and Fireman Keith Marshall from Kidderminster Fire Station who died in service during the Hurcott Mill fire on 8 March 1974, 50 years ago.
"The national red plaque scheme was introduced by the Fire Brigades Union to honour those who have died in the line of duty with a memorial close to the location.
"A fundraiser was carried out by Kidderminster Fire Station earlier this year to commission the plaque".
