Police have seized a quad bike after inspecting goods at an auction in Wyre Forest.
Officers from the North and South Worcestershire Rural Crime teams, supported by Kidderminster SNT, attended the Stone Sale in Kidderminster on Friday (October 25).
The team attend the sale on a regular basis as they have a good working relationship with the auctioneers.
With permission, officers inspect the goods offered for sale and follow up on any suspicious activity.
On this occasion, officers said they were drawn to a Yamaha quad bike which has been seized pending further enquiries to establish its true identity.
On the Neighbourhood Matters website, a spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "With their permission, we inspect the goods offered for sale and follow up on any suspicious activity. We also engage with sellers and buyers and take the opportunity to discuss any issues or offer any crime prevention advice.
"On this occasion, we were drawn to a Yamaha Quad bike which has been seized by us pending further enquiries to establish its true identity.
"This is just one of the many activities we carry out to try and deter and prevent crime within our rural communities."
